The rules have now been re-done in order to fit to the growing server's needs. Please read through all of them and ensure that you understand and abide by these rules when playing EliteRO.

Here are the list of updated rules along with their punishment if broken:

1. No botting. If you are caught botting, your account will be perma-banned.

2. Please keep cursing to a minimum. Depending on the severity of your cursing, the punishment may range anywhere from 5 minute mute to 1 day ban.

3. No harassment. Keep flaming to a minimum. If you are caught egging people on, provoking them, saying bad things about them, etc., punishment will be upwards from 10 minute mute to 3 day ban.

4. No racial remarks. Watch what you say, even if you are joking, some people may find it offensive. If you are reported saying anything racial, you will be muted for 30 minutes, no questions asked.

5. No scamming what-so-ever. Remember, duplication does not exist, do not believe anyone claiming to be "quitting" and letting you join a party. Also always take screenshots of your trades in case you do get scammed, we can get your items back and punish the offender 90% of the time if you have a screenshot of the deal. If you are caught scamming, your account will be perma-banned.

6. Do not spam. Typing the same message 5 times in a row, spamming 10 rows of gibberish, or spamming the same cycle of messages more than 10 times is considered spamming. Spammers will receive a 5 minute mute the first time, a 10 minute mute the next, and a 15 minute mute for anytime there after.

7. Do not beg anyone for zeny or items. If you beg, you will receive a 5 minute mute.

8. The stop rule for PvP has been removed, but rules pertaining to KoS still apply. Note this rule well, it has been changed. The definition of KoS on Elite is killing the same person 10 or more times consecutively, resurrection-killing a person 5 times consecutively, and/or killing a person 5 times consecutively with harsh language involved. If you wish to report someone for KoSing, you must provide at least 10 screenshots that clearly display the intent of the offender to KoS you as well as displaying your malcontent with the offender, for example, asking him/her to stop on multiple occasions. (ie. Harsh language, not killing anyone else but you, etc.) These screenshots may be posted in the Misbehaviour Section of the tracker where they will be looked at. The punishment for KoSing is, depending on the severity, anywhere from a 1 day ban to a 7 day ban, no questions asked.. Please be aware if you have less than 10 screenshots in a reasonable timeframe (not 10 screenshots from last week up to this week), your report will be ignored as it is not considered KoSing.

9. Do not advertise other RO servers here. If you want to mention a server in a conversation, use abbreviations. If you are caught mentioning a server, you will receive a 5 minute mute. If you are caught full-out advertising, your account will be perma-banned.

10. 1 or 2 letter names are not allowed. Your name will be changed into a GM's choice.

11. Do not ask GMs to change your character names, it is illegal.

12. Do not kill steal, you will be banned for 2 days. To clarify, the definition of kill stealing is attacking a monster that you did not attack first or is not targeting you. MvPs are free-for-all, KS rules do not apply to MvPs.

13. Do not cause drama or become the source of drama. You will be perma-banned, IP-banned, have your password changed, and have all your characters and items deleted. We do not tolerate drama.

14. Do not impersonate a GM or an administrator. You will be perma-banned.

15. Do not abuse bugs in-game. Report all bugs to a GM or you will be perma-banned. Do not post bugs on the forums either, please PM it to a GM so no further abuse occurs.

16. Do not give out your account information to anyone. You are responsible for your account even if you are not the one using it. Elite is not responsible for any-loss related to hackings or giving account information away. GMs will never ask you for your password.

17. Do not sell in-game items for real money or you will be perma-banned and have your items deleted.

18. Refrain from using names that use the letter l excessively. No names like llllllllllllllllll. Your name will be changed to a GMs choice.
